Are you after a mega experience? Do you really want to get in the flow and explore everything the Belair National Park has to offer?

This is the session for you! It is a longer 2.5 hour group with plenty of time to play, notice and explore, with breaks for snacks, lots of movement as well as calm

This family event by Play Naturally OT is delivered by an occupational therapist and welcomes children and adults of all ages. Join us for a playful and relaxed adventure in the beautiful Belair National Park!

You will be guided through sensory nature connection activities to help you connect with nature and each other, to calm your busy minds and have some fun! You will meet trees, notice the wonder of nature and find treasures you may have never noticed before! It is an opportunity to engage your senses – including listening, touching, smelling, tasting and seeing as we allow ourselves to just ‘be’ in nature.

Nature connection supports the development of sensory awareness, physical skills, emotional regulation, connecting with others in a group, and environmental awareness – amongst other benefits. All of these can support our ability to do the things we need to do, want to do and have to do every day. The experience will be tailored to the needs of the group where possible.

In a world where people of all ages are increasingly disconnected from nature, a deliberate nature-based experience such as this can help us access the health and wellbeing benefits of nature for ourselves and for the planet – while having fun!

All children need to attend with an adult who will need to be responsible for their supervision and safety in nature – this is not a child-only event. This event is open to children and families of all abilities, please contact Prue at Play Naturally OT with questions on accessibility.
