DESCRIPTION:This is a chance to try a Gumnut Babies session before signing up for the Term 4 program! \nDoes your child love being outside?  \nDo you want to meet like-minded children and families? \nDo you want your child to get away from screens and technology? \nDo you want to feel more connected as a family? \nDo you want support to help your child regulate their big feelings? \nDo you want to be a more mindful parent? \nDo you want your child to develop more coordination skills\, social skills and learn to be more confident? \nDo you want to experience more than just a regular child development group? \nDo you want your child to experience sensory learning in nature?  \nDo you want your child to grow up with a love of nature and care for the planet? \nJOIN US!! \n  \nIntentionally designed nature – based session run by an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) using evidence based approaches.  \nDevelopmentally appropriate and sensory nature connection activities to support CALM\, CARING\, CONFIDENCE\, COORDINATION and CONNECTION for all children and families \nYou will be supported to spend time in nature with your family while increasing your child’s physical\, cognitive\, psychological and social development as well as their environmental awareness. \n  \nActivities in the session will give you a taste of the nature connection activities we engage in during the full program \nWe will have some group time (acknowledgement of country\, nature activities\, sharing\, reflections\, learning\, social skills)\,  \nIntentionally designed sensory nature connection activities for calming bodies and minds\, caring for nature\, confidence building\, coordination development and connection with ourselves and each other. SUMMARY:Jessie Brown family nature connection fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Gather your children and family\, rug up and join us for a morning of nature connection and fun with other Jessie Brown families! \nWe will be experiencing the benefits of nature and play\, the importance of connecting as families and community\, and how we can support our natural environments. \nFamily ticket $20 \nAll families in the extended Jessie Brown community welcome! \nDress for the weather as we plan to embrace nature’s winter of cold\, rain or sun! (unless unsafe). This means wear warm layers\, beanies\, gloves\, waterproof jackets and pants\, and boots for children and adults. An umbrella and a change of clothes may be useful! \nThis event is for the whole family\, and you will therefore be responsible for the care and safety of yourself and your child/ children throughout the session. \nYou are welcome to bring a picnic lunch for after the session to stay and continue to enjoy nature\, and having a snack before the session might be a good idea too! \nYou will need to pay an entry fee to drive into the national park. Did you know you can get a yearly pass for Belair National Park online\, so you can enjoy the benefit all throughout the year! Great birthday gift for kids and families! \nAlso be aware there may be limited parking at Pines 2 Area\, however there is lots of further parks a little walk away\, so allow yourself enough time to arrive. \nThis event will be guided by Prue Spry\, a Jessie Brown parent who is also an occupational therapist and owner of Play Naturally OT.
